Hey There!!! I’m Bethany La’Rae & it is a pleasure to meet you! I am a child of God who has been blessed to be a southern country girl.

I was born & raised on a small farm, which I am forever grateful for.  My parents are wonderful and they instilled within me a love for the ‘farm life’ and for working hard to get where you’re going.  Even though I am & will always be a ‘Farm Girl’, I am a ‘girly girl’ too who has an obsession with high heels and cute clothes!

Me & My Little Sis

Me & My Little Sis with Daddy

I am married to the sweetest boy that I know, who also happens to be my childhood sweetheart!  He is a farm boy/cowboy, who steals my heart every time he wears those ‘wranglers’! 😉  Seriously, he is my best friend and has the best heart of anyone I know!

I am a Kindergarten Teacher’s Assistant, currently in the process of finishing my teaching degree & I LOVE MY JOB!!!  I also coach the Varsity Cheerleading Team at our high school , which is another love of mine!

From a very young age, I have always loved to create!  My Nana taught me how to sew & I would have my cousins lie on an old flat sheet, trace their body outline & would ‘attempt’ to make them a dress! Haha!  I think that my skills, hopefully, have improved since then.  I now enjoy making my own dresses, quilting, cross stitching, etc.,.

I am a carpenter’s daughter and have an innate desire to build things.  I took ‘wood shop’ in high school for a total of one week, deciding that being the only girl in the class was a bit awkward.  SInce then, I have taught myself a few things about DIY building projects, but have learned so much just by watching Daddy.

I am an awful cook, but LOVE to bake.  My family will tell you that I am ‘Paula Deen’ when it comes to baking, but not so much when it comes to ‘normal’ meals.  I am working on it though!

FARMING is one of my most favorite passions!  For our first ‘official’ date, my husband took me to a cattle sale! True!  He coaxed me in to helping him feed his baby calves initially, which won me over right there!  From being raised on a farm, I will always have a love of a farmer’s way of life.

Now that you have a small glimpse of my life…I hope that I can be a small blessing to your life in some way!

  1. Well hello Mrs. Bethany La’Rae! 🙂

Welcome to wordpress. I completely understand your feelings when trying to decide whether or not anyone would ever even come by and look at your blog. I fretted over the same thing, too. I still wonder that sometimes, so it’s always a really pleasant surprise to come back and see HEY SOMEONE SAID SOMETHING!! Haha, that’s very exciting for me! I think tagging your posts helps a lot (at least it seems to help). The posts which I add tags in seem to accumulate much more attention than the ones where I forget to tag what it’s about. 🙂

Thank you for your kind words and encouragement! Your excitement about life and teaching are so obvious and it’s absolutely wonderful! I wish you success with all of your endeavors in teaching, farming, and blogging! I hope you will continue to write here. If for nothing else, I think it makes a wonderful digital journal to look back on in later. 🙂
